A-line
Tight fitting bodice that progressively becomes wider at the bottom, also known as a princess silhouette. Good all body types, the long lines slims, hides and elongates.

Baby doll
Short, cut above the knee, flaring at the bottom. Very fun, flirty and feminine. If you’re uncomfortable with your stomach, this dress type helps hide this problem area.

Ball gown
What you imagine in all the Disney princess movies and all of those fairy tale stories. Very formal, fitted bodice and very full skirt. Good for slender figures or pear-shapes, the skirt hides problem areas below the bust.

Sheath
Also called a column silhouette, this type of dress has a very slim shape and are normally floor length. This type is best for slimmer brides since it does not hide very many problem areas.

Mermaid
This type of dress is tight until the knee then flares out to the hem. Very sexy and formfitting. Good for slender brides or those who are confident with their curves and want to flaunt it.

Ahh I love the Ball gown and Mermaid dresses!
Aha, the A-line dress example that you use is actually my dream wedding dress! It’s by Henry Roth I think, and I saw it on the Kleinfeld website
